The Barcheek Trevally is silver-grey. The body often has small grey and yellowish spots. There is a dark bar on the margin of the preoperculum (glossary). This species grows to around 45cm in length.
It occurs in tropical marine waters of the Western Pacific.
In Australia it is known from the northern Great Barrier Reef, Queensland.
